Children’s Ministries
Our children’s ministry exists to assist parents in leading their children to follow Jesus.
We take seriously the responsibility to provide a safe and loving environment in which children can learn what the Bible teaches about having new life in Jesus Christ. Each lesson and activity strives to help children come to know Jesus, understand His Word, take the next step in their relationship with Christ, and equip them to share Jesus’ love with others. Our desire is to come alongside our parents as they raise their children to be rooted deep in truths of scripture.

In order to help each child might reach his or her spiritual potential, we take extensive steps to ensure that they feel and remain safe while in our care. Each volunteer is a church member who has been prepared and vetted to work with your child by means of:

An extensive application and interview process

A criminal background check

A minimum of two references

Mandatory sexual abuse awareness training

Pre-school childcare for every service

Age-appropriate Sunday school classes–Sundays at 9:30 am

Sunday junior church for ages 5 years old through 5th grade–Sundays at 10:30 am

Various other special events throughout the year
Nursery
We seek to provide a safe, Christian atmosphere for the youngest members of our church family. We hope that our loving care for your child will allow you to participate in the multitude of opportunities available here at Gibraltar Bible Baptist Church.

We believe that children are a gift. Nursery Ministries provides special care to infants and toddlers that contributes to their well being and complements and strengthens the Christian nurture the child experiences at home.

Shannon says, “I have always loved working with young children. I am married to my high-school sweetheart, and together we have four grown children and seven wonderful grandchildren! Having come to know and love the Lord Jesus myself as a second-grader at summer Bible Camp, I understand first-hand how important it is for children to learn good Bible teaching at a very young age.

Throughout my years of serving at Gibraltar Bible Baptist Church, I have been privileged to teach the Word of God to Sunday school children at the preschool and kindergarten levels, as well as during our summer Vacation Bible School each year. In past years I have worked as a leader of T & T Girls in grades 3-6 of Awana Clubs International, and also with the Kids-4-Truth program. I am now very happy to be working with our church's own Captain's Kids outreach for children ages 4 years old through 5th grade.
It fills my heart with joy when young children are able to grasp the truths of God's Word for themselves and begin to apply those principles to their own lives.”
