As we work through the principles of Basic Christianity, we have first considered the importance of the Scriptures, and now we are looking at a defense for the existence of God. We will pick up our study where we left off last week.
The Bible presupposes the existence of God. There is nothing wrong with this sort of presupposition; in fact, in any conversation, all people do the same thing. We assume certain things to be fundamentally true, without trying to prove them. The two major presuppositions for the Christian religion are that God is, and God has spoken. Upon these two axioms we base all of our other conclusions about God and life.
