Last week we considered in some detail the first part of this study, Faithful God. God’s faithfulness is inherent to his very person- not only will God never let us down, but we may fairly go a step further and say that God can never possibly let us down. And what we mean by this is that God will always behave in a manner perfectly consistent with his revealed person- he cannot and will not do otherwise.
So last week we laid the groundwork of the faithfulness of God in an OT revelatory sense, as the OT reiterated numerous times that the character of God is one of faithfulness. However, I believe we are wise to briefly review the specific aspects of God’s faithfulness as the NT describes it.
